Matching Scholarship

The CAEF has recently set aside significant monies to launch a "matching" program for CA firms to fund new scholarships at educational institutions throughout B.C. If established criteria are met, the CAEF will match the new funds your firm makes available and administer the scholarship through the CAEF's established program. Your firm will benefit from

  • the opportunity to name the scholarship,
  • listing of the firm on the CAEF website,
  • encouraging talented students to enter the CA profession,
  • participating in the institution's annual presentation ceremonies,
  • the increased visibility associated with the scholarship announcements in the local media and in the Institute's monthly magazine Beyond Numbers, and,
  • receiving the tax deduction resulting from the donation.

Currently, the CAEF offers scholarships and bursaries to accounting students at most post-secondary schools in the province, including:

  • BC Institute of Technology
  • BC Open University
  • Camosun College
  • Capilano College
  • College of New Caledonia
  • College of the Rockies
  • Douglas College

  • Simon Fraser University
  • Trinity Western University
  • University of British Columbia
  • University College of the Cariboo
  • University College of the Fraser Valley
  • University of Northern British Columbia

The Foundation also has specific scholarships and awards including the Desmond O'Brien Memorial Scholarship and William Rowe Memorial Scholarship at UBC; the Desmond O'Brien Memorial Scholarship and the Business Administration Co-op Education Scholarship at SFU; and the John Hadfield Memorial Scholarship at Camosun College.
